Artist · Designer · Teacher
Welcome to my website! Home of Tomorrow’s Heirlooms.  Here you will find instructional materials in acrylics, oils and watercolors for the beginning to advanced painter that I hope will inspire you and get your creative juices flowing.  If you are a decorative painting teacher, don’t overlook the beginners’ packets—many of them were designed for my beginners’ classes and provide wonderful learning experiences for your students.

While developing my designs, I am always thinking about what skills and theory can be illustrated while teaching them.  The desire to share the knowledge I’ve gained is often as motivating as the beautiful blossom or handsome architecture.

My interests are wide and varied, and my work reflects that.  Often people ask which is my favorite medium, and I truthfully reply, “The one I’m using right now!”   I am an avid gardener and love capturing the essence of my flowers in my painting.  Lighthouses and interesting architecture have always been favorite subjects, and I have photographed them and collected references wherever I’ve traveled.  Fruit is so beautiful and challenging to paint and provides a wealth of instructional material, as do still lifes.  I’ve always enjoyed projects where I could teach multiple lids or sides to celebrate the seasons, and fall is absolutely my favorite season…right after Christmas!  And I really get a kick out of painting something whimsical now and again.

If you are interested in my local classes, see the Studio Classes page for information.  If you’d like to ask a question or say hi, contact me—I’d love to hear from you!  Let me know what you think about painting and my website.

So come on in and let me share my world with you.  As time goes by, we will be adding surfaces, some supplies, and some painted pieces.  Come back often to see what’s new and what’s happening!
